A lesson in resilience

Developing resiliency is a group effort.
What began as a carefree cycling tour from Jasper to Banff in the Canadian Rockies quickly became an unexpected evacuation.
On day two of a five-day ride, we cycled 40 miles before unwinding in Jasper’s cozy shops and cafes. As we savored the moment, a store owner alerted us to a nearby wildfire. Within minutes, our plans shifted.
Ashes fell from the sky.
Alerts buzzed on our mobile phones.
We packed up and drove 10 hours through the night to safety.
This experience reminded me that resilience is about staying calm and flexible and relying on others when creating a new plan.
Just as the members of my cycling group supported one another through those unexpected challenges, The Brass is here to help you navigate yours—whether negotiating a salary, preparing for interviews, or redefining your career path and portfolio.
Resilience is a skill we can develop together. Let’s work to uncover your strengths, reframe challenges, and gain the perspective you need to move forward confidently.
